Interface is an autonomous, contextually aware device for the blind and visually impaired that understands the user’s needs and delivers valuable information about the world around, be it indoors or outdoors. The device consists of a video camera attached to a pair of glasses that send images to a smartphone. Then, the image gets processed and the result gets back to the user through audio or haptic feedback. We are a team of software developers who are passionate about solving the most important problems blind and visually impaired people face every day with one purpose: to allow every person suffering from sight loss to simply achieve more.
